Paper Flower Tree

The website explains it all, so just click on the link and make your own beautiful martha stewart paper flower tree.

*Few Tips:
I just took a dead twig (long, skinny, with long well-spaced branches) from the yard and stuck it in a mason jar. I added glass beads and coffee beans (for a "fragrance") in the jar to help the branch stand on its own. After cutting out my paper flowers (from scrapbooking paper: lots of pretty patterns, colors, choices!) I hot glued them (or super glue) onto the branches (where a natural flower might appear). It really does look cute! I made a single branch of yellow flowers in a mason jar. And then several (probably close to ten) branches in a large vase with pink flowers (because I used so many branches, I made sure to space the flowers out... so it doesn't look to "crowded")

Great project to do with the girls! Its craftsy, creative, and feminine. Great way to beautify the house or bedroom... PLUS you don't have to water, weed, or trim it! :-)

*Here are some awesome Mason Jar decoration ideas. I LOVE mason jars and use them for all sorts of things: picture frames, rock and shell holders, vases, drinking glasses, pencil holders, penny/money jars, gifts, etc! They're wonderful!
*The following links have got some great ideas

*Almost every Christmas I make my recipe of hot chocolate mix or spicy crackers (using the small oyster crackers to fit in the jar) and place them in Mason Jars as presents. You can wrap them, decorate the lids, place a ruffled piece of fabric between the lid and sealer for a colorful top, etc. Endless possibilities for cuteness!

*Also, remember to use recycled jars too like Prego jars, Jelly jars, Tea jars, etc. My husband loves using the Prego large spaghetti jars for his drinks (cause they're so big!)

Picture Frame Wipe-off Board

*I just did this project a few weeks ago. I thought my idea was original, until I just googled it and found out I'm not a genius. Seems like people have been turning picture frames into wipe off boards long before I ever considered it. LOL. I took a 25cent garage sale picture frame (with the glass in it) and slipped a scrapbook page (green colored) behind it, like this lady did with the yellow printed paper in hers. Then I hung it on my kitchen wall and wrote out our week's menu on the glass with a dry-eraser marker. :-) Wah-lah! You can get fancy and make them like these photos show below. You could also put a real photo (of yourself or your kids, etc) and use the wipe off markers to put speech bubbles, draw mustaches, give them eye-patches, etc. Great fun!

BOOT-SCOOT'N DECOR

Knowing that I love to craft and recycle, a friend of mine gave me a cowboy boot they had found while cleaning their house. They couldn't find the pair, so they thought maybe I'd be interested in finding a use for just ONE shoe. :-) Absolutely! (BTW, that one other shoe must be hiding with all of my "one other socks'"... I can NEVER find a pair! Where DO they go?) Anyways, I set up the cute little boot on our living-room bookshelf with some beautiful Hobby Lobby sunflowers and poppies. I'm not a fan of fake flowers, but Hobby Lobby has a great variety of really realistic flowers (besides, these were given to me by my sis, so I'm not complaining!). Now I have a cute cowboy-boot-wildflower-vase (right next to my picture tree and mason jar picture frames)!
*Though you might be inspired by some of the photos above for "Cowboy Boot" crafts. The next time you're at a garage sale or thrift store (or in your husbands closet) maybe you'll find an awesome boot deal to make one of the above creative creations! Have fun!
*Potted plants, vases, cooking utensil holder, birdhouse, and more...
you can find an awesome use for those old boots
or for the only ONE boot you can find! :-)
